The story of Biowell Health began with a personal challenge that inspired a vision for a healthcare revolution. When former professional rugby player, Peter Scrivener, faced the debilitating effects of long COVID, his active, high-performing lifestyle came to an abrupt halt. Struggling with chronic fatigue and significant muscle loss, Peter found himself searching for solutions beyond traditional healthcare.

Introduced to advanced therapies such as oxygen therapy through his network in elite sport, Peter began to explore the potential of cutting-edge treatments targeting cellular health. What followed was a turning point, a transformative recovery that reignited his strength and vitality. This experience didn’t just restore his health; it redefined his perspective on what’s possible in personalised care and life optimisation.

Together with James Stanley, a leader in the sports and leisure industry, Peter turned his recovery journey into a mission to make these innovative therapies accessible to a broader audience. United by their shared commitment to improving lives, they created Biowell Health a new standard in personalised, science-driven healthcare.

James Stanley

Co-Founder & CEO

James has over 25 years of experience in the sports, leisure, and hospitality industries, focusing on consumer experience and lifestyle enhancement.

James brings leadership and operational know-how to Biowell, having run multi-site businesses across EMEA and advised businesses on strategic change and growth.

James’ passion is enhancing experiences that maximise people’s personal enjoyment and, ultimately, well-being.

Peter Scrivener

Co-Founder & CCO

Peter is a former professional rugby player who has been involved in the sports business for over 30 years.

Having successfully set up and run his business consultancy, Peter brings to Biowell the business support infrastructure and unrivalled sports and health connectivity.

Peter is a passionate health optimiser and brings a depth of knowledge in high performance and sports excellence.
