Recovery that takes the brain seriously
Clinically supported cooling and light therapy for concussion recovery, timed carefully around the injury — always run alongside proper medical assessment, never in place of it.
If you suspect a concussion right now, please get medical assessment first — at A&E or with your GP — especially if you have any of the following: worsening headache, repeated vomiting, confusion, drowsiness, or loss of consciousness. This page is for support after you've been assessed and cleared for this kind of therapy, not before.

Common concerns
What people come to us with for concussion
- Recovering from a recent, medically assessed concussion
- Wanting clinically-informed cooling support in the early window after injury
- Lingering symptoms — headache, brain fog, light sensitivity — after a head injury
- Wanting a structured, clinician-guided return-to-activity plan
Our approach
The Biowell approach
Timing matters more here than with any other goal on this site. PolarCap is used within the first 48 hours after injury; red light therapy is introduced afterward, once the acute phase has passed.\n\nWe do not diagnose concussion, assess its severity, or clear anyone to return to sport or work — that's a medical decision, made by a doctor or specialist, not by us. Our role starts once you've already been assessed: supporting recovery under that guidance, not replacing it.\n\nIf anything about how you're describing your symptoms suggests you haven't been properly assessed yet, we'll say so before recommending anything — including redirecting you to urgent care instead of booking you in.
Recommended therapies
Where most people start
These are the therapies we most often recommend for this goal. Your consultation decides which of them actually apply to you.

PolarCap® Concussion Therapy
Targeted cooling applied early after a suspected concussion, used in professional sport and available here.

Red Light Therapy
Low-level red and near-infrared light, explored for skin, recovery and sleep. A passive session you can fit into a lunch break.
Programme
A structured route through it
Programmes combine the therapies above into a plan with a review point built in.

Concussion+Add 90 minutes of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for deeper neurological support.
Access to specialist care
Concussion is assessed and cleared by a doctor, not by us. Where specialist care is the right next step, speak to our team and we will help you find the route to it.

Questions we get asked
For individual recovery therapies such as the sauna, compression or red light, you can book directly. For anything clinical — IV therapy, HBOT courses, or any programme — we ask for a consultation first so we can check it is appropriate for you.
