Overview
What Compression Therapy is
Compression therapy uses inflatable garments that apply rhythmic pressure to the limbs in sequence, supporting circulation and lymphatic drainage.
What it involves
Your session, step by step
Before you start
A comfortable, passive thirty minutes. Many people use it as recovery time after a harder therapy in the same visit.
Step 1 of 2During the session
You lie down and the garments inflate and deflate in a wave pattern from the extremities inwards. Pressure is adjustable and should never be uncomfortable.

Questions
Compression Therapy, answered
What the evidence supports, and what it does not.
For the recovery therapies — cryotherapy, compression, red light, PEMF — your first visit includes a short induction so we can screen you and show you how the therapy works. For anything clinical, including IV drips, wellness injections, blood testing and HBOT courses, we ask for a consultation first so a clinician can check it is appropriate for you.
It is recommended that you wear comfortable clothing. Ideally, you should consider sportswear, including leggings, tracksuits and socks.
The Body Ballancer treatment does not hurt. The gentle, rhythmic compression action promotes relaxation whilst boosting immune system function. The therapy provides a smooth, flowing massage over the entire treated area, providing a relaxing, enjoyable and even comforting experience.
We have many general and specific therapies that range in length between 30 and 45 minutes. The optimum therapy length is 45 minutes if you have the time.
Our therapies are expertly programmed to achieve specific outcomes and tailored to meet individual needs. All you need to do is select your treatment length when booking, and one of our health optimisers will help you when you are with us.
There are no restrictions on the number of treatments you can have; however, multiple sessions are recommended for optimal effect.
It is advised that ongoing regular use will help support optimisation and maintain the benefits through treatments. We recommend at least two therapies per week for maximum benefit.
Definitely. We advise combining therapies (bio-stacking) to advance results and achieve optimal outcomes. We also advise that when you commence your optimisation journey with us, you undergo compression therapy initially to prepare your body to derive maximum benefit from each individual therapy.
Absolutely. It can really help through pregnancy (especially the third trimester), by relieving the discomfort of heaviness and tightness caused by water retention. Beyond this, it will lessen or even prevent the formation of spider and varicose veins, alongside reducing the appearance of cellulite.
Post-pregnancy (recommended waiting period: 6 weeks) will also benefit you, helping to burn off excess fat, remove unwanted fluids, reduce the appearance of cellulite, and aid in your body's recovery.
Please note that in both the above instances, massaging of the area directly over the abdomen is deactivated.
If you have any of the following conditions or if you are unsure, you should seek medical advice before booking: pain and/or numbness that has not been evaluated by a doctor; ischemic vascular disease, including pain at rest and gangrene; uncontrolled congestive heart failure or unstable cardiac disease; known or suspected deep-vein thrombosis; infected skin or an infected open wound; phlebitis.
